Firehose Privacy Policy

1. Overview

Firehose collects and processes personal data to operate our website, provide our platform, support customers, improve our services, market our business, maintain security, and comply with law.

This Privacy Policy applies to website visitors, customers, users, prospects, business contacts, and individuals whose information may appear in Firehose’s business contact or sales intelligence data.

Where Firehose processes personal data on behalf of a customer, the customer is generally responsible for deciding how that data is used, and Firehose processes it under the customer’s instructions and the Data Processing Terms.

2. Personal Data We Collect

We may collect:

• contact information, such as name, business email, phone number, company, title, and address;
• account information, such as login credentials and user settings;
• billing information, processed through payment providers;
• usage data, device data, log data, cookies, and analytics information;
• customer-uploaded data, records, contacts, communications, files, transcripts, and campaign data;
• business contact and sales intelligence data from public sources, data partners, customers, and enrichment tools;
• communications with us, including support, sales, and marketing interactions.

We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 16.

3. How We Use Personal Data

We use personal data to:

• provide, secure, operate, and support Firehose;
• authenticate users and manage accounts;
• process payments;
• generate AI outputs, automations, analytics, and recommendations;
• improve our products, models, systems, data, and services, subject to the AI training limitations in the Terms of Service;
• verify, enrich, and maintain business contact data;
• communicate with customers, users, and prospects;
• send marketing communications where permitted;
• detect fraud, abuse, security incidents, and policy violations;
• comply with law and enforce agreements.

4. How We Share Personal Data

We may share personal data with:

• service providers and subprocessors;
• AI, cloud, analytics, communication, payment, support, security, and data vendors;
• customers, where business contact or sales intelligence data is made available through the service;
• data partners for verification, enrichment, and database quality;
• affiliates;
• advisors, investors, acquirers, or financing sources in corporate transactions;
• legal authorities where required or appropriate;
• others with consent or at the direction of the customer or user.

We do not sell Customer Data.

We do not sell personal data for money. Some privacy laws may define certain business contact data sharing, advertising, analytics, or data partner activity as a “sale,” “sharing,” or targeted advertising. Where those laws apply, individuals may have opt-out rights.

5. Cookies and Tracking

We use cookies and similar technologies to operate the website and service, remember preferences, analyze usage, improve performance, support marketing, and protect against abuse.

Users can manage cookies through browser settings or available cookie controls.

Where required by law, Firehose will honor recognized opt-out preference signals.

6. Data Retention

We retain personal data for as long as needed to provide the service, maintain records, comply with law, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, improve our data and services, and support legitimate business purposes.

Retention periods vary by data type, customer instructions, legal requirements, and operational needs.

Customer Data processed on behalf of a customer is retained in accordance with the agreement, customer instructions, and the Data Processing Terms.

7. U.S. State Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have some or all of the following rights:

• to know or confirm whether we process your personal data;
• to access personal data we maintain about you;
• to receive a portable copy of certain personal data;
• to correct inaccurate personal data;
• to delete personal data, subject to legal exceptions;
• to opt out of sale, sharing, targeted advertising, or certain profiling where applicable;
• to limit use or disclosure of sensitive personal information where applicable;
• to appeal a denied request where applicable;
• to be free from discrimination for exercising privacy rights.

Where Firehose processes personal data on behalf of a customer — including data synced from a connected Google or Microsoft account — Firehose acts as a service provider or processor, and requests should be directed to that customer. Firehose will assist its customers in responding as required by applicable law and the Data Processing Terms.

If applicable law requires a “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” link, Firehose will make that mechanism available on its website or through another legally recognized method.

We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling requests.

8. California Privacy Policy

For California residents, Firehose may collect the following categories of personal information:

• identifiers, such as name, email address, phone number, account ID, IP address, and business contact information;
• commercial information, such as subscription, billing, and product usage information;
• internet or electronic network activity, such as site usage, service usage, logs, and device information;
• professional or employment-related information, such as job title, company, work history, and business contact information;
• audio, visual, or electronic information, such as call recordings or transcripts where enabled;
• inferences, such as business interests, engagement signals, or account activity.

We collect this information from you, your employer or organization, customers, users, public sources, data partners, service providers, cookies, analytics tools, and use of the service.

We use and disclose this information for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, including providing the service, customer support, analytics, product improvement, sales intelligence, security, marketing, compliance, and legal purposes.

We may disclose these categories to service providers, customers, data partners, affiliates, advisors, acquirers, legal authorities, and others as described in this Privacy Policy.

We do not knowingly sell or share personal information of individuals under 16.

California residents may have the right to know, access, correct, delete, opt out of sale or sharing, limit use of sensitive personal information, and avoid discrimination for exercising rights.

9. Business Contact Data and Data Broker Compliance

Firehose may collect, license, verify, enrich, and make available business contact information and related sales intelligence.

If Firehose is required to register as a data broker or comply with data broker laws, Firehose will do so as required by applicable law.

Individuals may request removal from Firehose’s business contact database by emailing privacy@firehose.ai or by using any deletion, opt-out, or preference mechanism Firehose is legally required to support.

Firehose will honor verified deletion, opt-out, and suppression requests as required by applicable law.

10. Your Marketing Choices

You may opt out of Firehose marketing emails by using the unsubscribe link or contacting us.

Some transactional, security, billing, and account-related messages are necessary and cannot be opted out of while you use the service.

11. Security

Firehose uses reasonable safeguards designed to protect personal data. No system is completely secure.

If you believe your data or account has been compromised, contact privacy@firehose.ai.

12. International Processing

Firehose is based in the United States and may process personal data in the United States, Canada, or other locations where our providers operate.

13. Google User Data (Gmail and Google Calendar)

When you connect a Google account to Firehose, we access Gmail and Google Calendar data through Google APIs to provide the features you enable, such as reading and sending mail, scheduling, calendar sync, and related automations.

Access. We access Google user data only under the OAuth scopes you authorize at connection. You may revoke access at any time through your Google account settings or within Firehose.

Use. We use Google user data solely to provide and improve the user-facing features of the service you have enabled. We do not use Google user data to train generalized or third-party AI or machine learning models, and we do not use Google user data for advertising.

Storage. Google user data is stored using industry-standard safeguards and retained only for as long as needed to provide the service, support legitimate business purposes, or comply with law. Google user data synced into a customer’s Firehose workspace becomes part of that customer’s Customer Data, which the customer owns and controls and which Firehose processes on the customer’s behalf under the Data Processing Terms. Disconnecting the integration stops Firehose’s ongoing access to the connected Google account, but does not by itself delete previously synced Customer Data. The customer may request deletion at any time by emailing privacy@firehose.ai.

Sharing. We do not sell Google user data. We share it only with service providers and subprocessors necessary to operate the integration, as directed by you, or as required by law.

Compliance. Firehose's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

14. Microsoft User Data (Outlook, Microsoft 365, and Microsoft Graph)

When you connect a Microsoft account or Microsoft 365 workspace to Firehose, we access Microsoft user data through Microsoft APIs, including Microsoft Graph, to provide the features you enable, such as reading and sending mail, scheduling, calendar sync, contact sync, activity logging, and related automations. This may include mail, calendar, and contact data from Outlook, Outlook.com, and Microsoft 365 (Exchange Online).

Access. We access Microsoft user data only under the OAuth permissions or administrator-approved permissions you authorize at connection, and we request only the permissions reasonably necessary to provide the functionality you enable. You or your organization may revoke access at any time through your Microsoft account, Microsoft Entra administrator controls, or within Firehose.

Use. We use Microsoft user data solely to provide, maintain, secure, and improve the user-facing features of the service you have enabled. We do not use Microsoft user data to train generalized or third-party artificial intelligence or machine learning models, and we do not use Microsoft user data for advertising or for any purpose unrelated to the features you have enabled. Firehose personnel access Microsoft user data only where necessary to provide or support those features, investigate a security incident, or comply with law, and such access is subject to access controls and logging.

Storage. Microsoft user data is encrypted in transit and at rest and protected using industry-standard administrative, technical, and physical safeguards. We retain it only for as long as needed to provide the service you have enabled, support legitimate business purposes, or comply with law. Microsoft user data synced into a customer’s Firehose workspace becomes part of that customer’s Customer Data, which the customer owns and controls and which Firehose processes on the customer’s behalf under the Data Processing Terms. Disconnecting the integration stops Firehose’s ongoing access to the connected Microsoft account, but does not by itself delete previously synced Customer Data. The customer may request deletion at any time by emailing privacy@firehose.ai. Individuals whose personal data appears in a customer’s workspace should direct privacy requests to that customer, as described in Section 7.

Sharing. We do not sell Microsoft user data, and we do not share it with third parties for advertising. We share it only with the service providers and subprocessors necessary to operate the integration, as directed by you or your organization, or as required by law.

Compliance. Firehose's access, use, storage, and transfer of information received through Microsoft APIs, including Microsoft Graph, adheres to the Microsoft APIs Terms of Use and applicable Microsoft Graph data use and permission requirements, and Firehose limits its use of Microsoft user data to the functionality you have authorized.

15. Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by posting, email, or in-product notice.
